Bscheduled is aimed at the small business owner requiring a digital diary always available to themselves and their staff.Potentially someone currently using a paper diary system that wants to move digital that may find the task daunting. Or someone that wants more than a basic calendar but not the over complicated feature rich applications available.Bscheduled is a colour based approach to an appointment app, removing the bulk/extras, keeping everything stream lined and focused on getting an appointment booked as efficiently as possible. This is achieved by making use of multiple pre set colours to allow the user to quickly see appointment types at a glance. The user will quickly know which colours resemble which type of booking.For users, bookings are simply made in two ways, either by pressing the + button, at the top of the interface, from either the timeline or home tabs. Alternatively, the date can be found from the timeline view, by pressing the date an appointment will be pre populated with that date. The appointment which the staff member is created for will be notified via the app.Also, users can add a sticky note style appointment, by using the same process. This creates a basic yellow note which will always remain at the top of the booking date and highlight the date in the home tab when a note has been added.Appointment times and durations are based on preset times every 15mins where exact timings can be noted in the booking notes should it be required.From the home view a basic colour and quantity next to it shows how many of one category or tick box has been created for that day.A notifications tab will show bookings made for that user.The timeline and home views can be selected to show all users or just one specific user.I had this app developed to suit me and my small business. I found many other apps I had tried either be too simple or too over complicated with more features than I needed.I dont consider this being a feature rich application, but more a to the point and efficient.After having the app developed, I realised other business owners may be in the same situation.I see this app as a replacement for a business owner currently using a paper diary, and wants to move digital without diving too deep and out of their comfort zone. A digital diary brings so many benefits compared to paper.I plan to carry out periodic updates to the application should faults or features be submitted. I have been testing and using this app for over two years now with complete success, but open to further suggestions and reports. But I aim to keep this app as simplistic as possible.
